BG Patrick M. Kennedy serves as the Assistant Adjutant General - Air, Joint Force Headquarters, New Jersey Air National Guard, Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst. His duties include the oversight of 2,300 Airmen comprising two Air Wings within the state. BG Kennedy also serves as the principal advisor to The Adjutant General on execution of Air Guard personnel and assets for real world taskings, to include federal and state homeland security and civil support mobilization.

BG Kennedy’s military career began in March 1991 when he received his commission as a Lieutenant in the New Jersey Air National Guard. His flight training began at Mather AFB, California in August 1991. After completing Undergraduate Navigation Training, BG Kennedy qualified in the KC-135 aircraft and was assigned to 150th Air Refueling Squadron.

BG Kennedy has over 2,200 flight hours to include combat support sorties. His duties in Operations included Instructor and Evaluator Navigator and Squadron Scheduler. In April 1998, BG Kennedy transferred from the Operations Group to the Logistics Group to continue his career as a Maintenance Officer. BG Kennedy served as a Aircraft Maintenance Squadron Commander, and Maintenance Group Commander for two ANG Wings and the 177 Fighter Wing Vice Wing Commander. Prior to his current position, BG Kennedy was the 108th Wing Commander, JB-McGuire Dix Lakehurst, NJ. He has deployed and flown combat support sorties for both Operations ENDURING FREEDOM and IRAQI FREEDOM. has also deployed multiple times in support of Operations ENDURING FREEDOM and IRAQI FREEDOM.
