New Jersey Korean War Commemoration Service


New Jersey Senator Louis F. Kosco, Korean War Veteran, and Major General Paul J. Glazar, The Adjutant General of New Jersey, joined with hundreds of veterans and the public for the New Jersey Korean War Commemoration Service Monday, June 25.

The Commemoration Service, at the New Jersey Korean War Memorial in Altantic City, paid tribute to the “Forgotten War” in which more than 191,000 New Jerseyans served and 827 were killed or are still considered missing. June 25, 2001, is the 51st anniversary of the United States’ military involvement in Korea.

The Commemoration Service included the unveiling of five additional names of New Jerseyans who died in the Korean War.
