Regional Service Centers

A customer may “walk-in” to five statewide motor vehicle agency locations (Eatontown; Newark; Paterson; Trenton; and West Deptford) to request information regarding driving records, “points” for driving violations, and insurance surcharges.

Also, to request general assistance to resolve outstanding court suspensions and restore driving privileges, which includes:  pay restoration, surcharge, dishonored check, and program fees; review registration records and certified driver abstracts (five year certified driving records); and other certified documents.

A customer will require a “driver conference”, or scheduled service appointment, when more assistance is required to resolve an issue.  This includes:  persons with a proposed suspension of driving and/or vehicle registration privileges; persons who claim to be victims of identity theft, misuse, or fraud; drivers with cases in need of a thorough official record review and decision; and those who require an identification verification hearing. Appointments may be scheduled at two statewide motor vehicle agency locations (Trenton and Paterson).

Hours of operation (except holidays):

Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Saturday hours are not available for these services.
