MVC Facilities to Close Today at 1:40 p.m. Due to Forecasted Storm and Remain Closed All Day Tuesday
(TRENTON) – Customers of the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission (MVC) are advised that due to the impending winter storm, Governor Christie has declared a state of emergency and all 39 MVC facilities will be closing at 1:40 p.m. today, Monday, January 26, 2015.This safety-based decision includes agencies, suspension and restoration centers, driver testing locations and inspection stations.
The MVC will also be closed tomorrow, Tuesday, January 27, 2015, due to the winter storm.
Customers who were scheduled to take their road tests this afternoon or tomorrow will be given priority when they call for a new appointment.
Weather conditions for Wednesday are uncertain, at this time. MVC customers are advised to check njmvc.gov before leaving the safety of their homes and venturing out to an MVC facility on Wednesday. Online registration renewals and requests for driver abstracts will remain available during these weather-related closures.
