Proposed New Rule Amendments -- Disabled Veteran and Purple Heart Recipient Placards

The Motor Vehicle Commission has proposed new rules pertaining to the issuance of placards and corresponding identification cards to disabled veterans and Purple Heart recipients to allow them to take advantage of an exemption from the payment of municipal parking meter fees under certain circumstances.  The Commission’s proposal was published in the April 3, 2017 issue of the New Jersey Register.

Copies of the regulatory proposal may be obtained on the MVC website, njmvc.gov.    Copies may also be obtained by mail or in person from the Motor Vehicle Commission, 225 East State Street, 9th Floor – East Wing, P.O. Box 162, Trenton, NJ 08666-0162; or by telephone at (609) 777-1407.
