You can register and authorize your facility to install sun-screening material in vehicles by following the established standards and specifications governing the types of materials and products that may be applied to the window.

The vehicle requesting the application must provide proof of medical exemption certificates (N.J.A.C. 13:20–1–2).

Requirements for sun-screening licensing
You must have a facility to install sun-screening material and have a state-mandated inspection of your premises to determine qualification.

• Applications must be completed by each owner, partner or corporate officer
• A copy of a your corporate papers or formation papers if you are a corporation or a limited liability company
• Pay fee of $150 for an initial license and $100 fee submitted biennially for renewal

Violations
The Chief Administrator of the New Jersey Commission may suspend or revoke your license for non-compliance with the terms and conditions of its issuance.
