Use this guide to help schedule your visit to the New Jersey State Museum. Be sure to call early – dates and programs are booked on a first-come, first-served basis. Reservations must be made at least 2 weeks in advance; payment is due in full 2 weeks before the program date.

Please have the following information ready when you call:

  • Dates for visit and time of arrival.
  • School name and address
  • Teacher/Group leader name & grade level
  • Contact telephone number and email
  • Program choices
  • Number of students and adults* (you need at least 1 chaperone for every 10 students)
  • Special needs or additional information, such as State House tour times, which will help us schedule your day

*The head count you provide at the time of reservation is how we calculate amount due. If your count changes, please notify us 2 weeks in advance.

No refunds will be made once payment is processed.

A reservation confirmation that lists program specifics will be emailed to the contact teacher, followed by an invoice. Please review this information carefully and contact us with any concerns or changes. Share this confirmation with your group leaders and chaperones to prepare everyone for their visit.
