Route 130 Bridge over Oldman's Creek to reopen
Detour is removed as project nears completion
(Trenton) - New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) officials today announced the reopening of Route 130 (Crown Point Road) as the project to rehabilitate the bridge over Oldmans Creek between the towns of Logan, Gloucester County, and Oldmans, Salem County nears completion.
By the end of the day on Friday, February 12, NJDOT’s contractors, IEW Construction Group and Atlantic City Electric, are scheduled to remove the detour and reopen the Route 130 Bridge over Oldmans Creek. The bridge has been closed and detoured since the project began in the fall of 2015.
The $3.38 million state-funded project removed counterweights and wire ropes to convert the bridge from a moveable bridge to a fixed span. It was initially expected to complete by spring 2016 but the project ran ahead of schedule.
The precise timing of the work is subject to change due to weather or other factors. Motorists are encouraged to check NJDOT's traffic information website www.511nj.org for real-time travel information and for NJDOT news follow us on Twitter @NJDOT_info. |
