Various Regulations for Local Roads under State Jurisdiction

Rising Sun Road (vicinity of I-295 & US 206)
Certain parts of the roadway known as Rising Sun Road (vicinity of Routes I-295 & US 206), located in the Township of Bordentown in Burlington County, are under New Jersey Department of Transportation jurisdiction.  Traffic on these sections of the roadway is hereby controlled by the following regulations:
(a) The rate of speed designated for the certain parts of Rising Sun Road described in this subsection are hereby established and adopted as the maximum legal rate of speed:
(1) For both directions of traffic:
(A) Zone 1: 40 MPH between Connector Road and the New Jersey Department of Transportation – Bordentown Township jurisdictional line (Route I-295).
(B) Zone 2: 30 MPH between Old York Road (County Route 660) and Connector Road.
(b) The certain parts of Rising Sun Road described in this subsection are hereby designated and established as “no stopping or standing” zones, where stopping or standing is prohibited at all times:
(1) No stopping or standing along both sides:
(A) Between the westerly curb line of Old York Road to a point 4,000 feet westerly therefrom.
(c) The certain parts of Rising Sun Road described in this subsection are hereby designated as stop intersections:
(1) Stop signs shall be installed:
(A) At the intersection of Rising Sun Road and Old York Road for eastbound and westbound traffic on Old York Road.
(d) Lane usage for the certain parts of Rising Sun Road described in this subsection is hereby regulated as follows:
(1) Center lane for left turn only for both directions of traffic:
(A) Between 800 feet east of the Route I-295 northbound exit ramp and 750 feet west of Old York Road.
(e) Turning movements for the certain parts Rising Sun Road described in this subsection are hereby regulated as follows:
(1) No U-turns from the westbound direction:
(A) At a point 930 feet west of Connector Road at the westerly terminus of raised concrete median.
