Speed Limits For State Roads

Route NJ 57
(a) The rate of speed designated for the certain parts of State Highway Route NJ 57 described in this subsection are hereby established and adopted as the maximum legal rate of speed:
1. In Warren County:
i. In the Township of Lopatcong:
(1) For both directions of traffic:
(A) Zone 1: 45 MPH between Route US 22 and 900 feet east of Red School Lane (approximate mileposts 0.00 to 0.29); thence
(B) Zone 2: 50 MPH between 900 feet east of Red School Lane and the Lopatcong Township-Greenwich Township corporate line (approximate mileposts 0.29 to 2.07); thence
ii. In the Township of Greenwich:
(1) For both directions of traffic:
(A) Zone 1: 50 MPH between the Lopatcong Township-Greenwich Township corporate line and Liberty Road-North Main Street (County Route 637) (approximate mileposts 2.07 to 2.19); thence
(B) Zone 2: 40 MPH between Liberty Road-North Main Street (County Route 637) and Richline Hill Road (approximate mileposts 2.19 to 3.06); thence
(C) Zone 3: 50 MPH between Richline Hill Road and the Greenwich Township-Franklin Township corporate line (approximate mileposts 3.06 to 3.58); thence
iii. In the Township of Franklin:
(1) For both directions of traffic:
(A) Zone 1: 50 MPH between the Greenwich Township-Franklin Township corporate line and 815 feet west of Cole Lane (approximate mileposts 3.58 to 4.38); thence
(B) Zone 2: 40 MPH between 815 feet west of Cole Lane and 1000 feet east of Edison Road (approximate mileposts 4.38 to 5.22); thence
(C) Zone 3: 50 MPH between 1000 feet east of Edison Road and 750 feet west of Millbrook Road (approximate mileposts 5.22 to 6.39); thence
(D) Zone 4: 40 MPH between 750 feet west of Millbrook Road and Halfway House Road (approximate mileposts 6.39 to 7.21); thence
(E) Zone 5: 50 MPH between Halfway House Road and the Franklin Township-Washington Township corporate line (approximate mileposts 7.21 to 8.37); thence
iv. In the Township of Washington:
(1) For both directions of traffic:
(A) Zone 1: 45 MPH between the Franklin Township-Washington Township corporate line and 555 feet west of Brass Castle Road except for 40 MPH when passing through the Good Shepherd Christian Academy School zone during recess when the presence of children is clearly visible from the roadway or while children are going to or leaving school, during opening or closing hours (approximate mileposts 8.37 to 9.62); thence
(B) Zone 2: 40 MPH between 555 feet west of Brass Castle Road and the westernmost Washington Township-Washington Borough corporate line (approximate mileposts 9.62 to 9.79); thence
(C) Zone 3: 40 MPH between the easternmost Washington Borough-Washington Township and 1,848 feet west of Washburn Avenue (approximate mileposts 11.60 to 11.76); thence
(D) Zone 4: 50 MPH between 1,848 feet west of Washburn Avenue and the Washington Township-Mansfield Township corporate line (approximate mileposts 11.76 to 12.67); thence
v. In the Borough of Washington:
(1) For both directions of traffic:
(A) Zone 1: 40 MPH between the westernmost Washington Township-Washington Borough corporate line and Ramapo Way (approximate mileposts 9.79 to 10.19); thence
(B) Zone 2: 30 MPH between Ramapo Way and South Wandling Avenue, except for 25 MPH when passing through the School Crossing Zone, located at the intersection of Route NJ 57 and North Prospect Street - South Prospect Street, while "25 MILES PER HOUR WHEN FLASHING" signs are operating during recess or when the presence of children is clearly visible from the roadway or while children are going to or leaving school, during opening or closing hours (approximate mileposts 10.19 to 10.52); thence
(C) Zone 3: 25 MPH between South Wandling Avenue and Route NJ 31 (approximate mileposts 10.52 to 11.01); thence
(D) Zone 4: 30 MPH between Route NJ 31 and Prosper Way (approximate mileposts 11.01 to 11.19); thence
(E) Zone 5: 40 MPH between Prosper Way and the easternmost Washington Borough-Washington Township corporate line (approximate mileposts 11.19 to 11.60); thence
vi. In the Township of Mansfield:
(1) For both directions of traffic:
(A) Zone 1: 50 MPH between the Washington Township-Mansfield Township corporate line and 300 feet west of Komar Road (approximate mileposts 12.67 to 13.80); thence
(B) Zone 2: 45 MPH between 300 feet west of Komar Road and 1,465 feet west of Old Turnpike Road (approximate mileposts 13.80 to 15.54); thence
(C) Zone 3: 50 MPH between 1,465 feet west of Old Turnpike Road and Hazen Road (approximate mileposts 15.54 to 18.61); thence
(D) Zone 4: 40 MPH between Hazen Road and 300 feet west of Brantwood Terrace (approximate mileposts 18.61 to 18.88); thence
(E) Zone 5: 35 MPH between 300 feet west of Brantwood Terrace and 400 feet east of Airport Road (approximate mileposts 18.88 to 19.43); thence
(F) Zone 6: 40 MPH between 400 feet east of Airport Road and 1,270 feet west of Newburgh Road (approximate mileposts 19.43 to 19.88); thence
(G) Zone 7: 35 MPH between 1,270 feet west of Newburgh Road and the Mansfield Township-Town of Hackettstown corporate line (Trout Brook Bridge) (approximate mileposts 19.88 to 20.54); thence
vii. In the Town of Hackettstown:
(1) For both directions of traffic:
(A) Zone 1: 35 MPH between the Mansfield Township-Town of Hackettstown corporate line (Trout Brook Bridge) and 300 feet east of the Mansfield Township-Town of Hackettstown corporate line (Trout Brook Bridge) (approximate mileposts 20.54 to 20.60); thence
(B) Zone 2: 40 MPH between 300 feet east of the Mansfield Township-Town of Hackettstown corporate line (Trout Brook Bridge) and Route NJ 182 (approximate mileposts 20.60 to 21.10).
