Route NJ 94
(a) The rate of speed designated for the certain parts of State Highway Route NJ 94 described in this subsection are established and adopted as the maximum legal rate of speed:
1. In Warren County:
Note: State Highway Route NJ 94 is under Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission (DRJTBC) jurisdiction from approximate mileposts 0.00 to 0.19.
i. In the Township of Knowlton:
(1) For both directions of traffic:
(A) Zone 1: 35 MPH between the Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission (DRJTBC) – New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) jurisdictional line and 1,400 feet south of Stark Road (approximate mileposts 0.19 to 0.72); thence
(B) Zone 2: 50 MPH between 1,400 feet south of Stark Road and 1,300 feet north of Brugler Road (approximate mileposts 0.72 to 1.95); thence
(C) Zone 3: 45 MPH between 1,300 feet north of Brugler Road and 600 feet north of Hainesberg River Road (approximate mileposts 1.95 to 2.61); thence
(D) Zone 4: 35 MPH between 600 feet north of Hainesberg River Road and 2,300 feet north of Mount Pleasant Road (approximate mileposts 2.61 to 3.31); thence
(E) Zone 5: 50 MPH between 2,300 feet north of Mount Pleasant Road and the Blairstown Township - Knowlton Township corporate line (approximate mileposts 3.31 to 3.92); thence
ii. In the Township of Blairstown:
(1) For both directions of traffic:
(A) Zone 1: 50 MPH between the Knowlton Township - Blairstown Township corporate line and 200 feet south of Main Street (approximate mileposts 3.92 to 8.78); thence
(B) Zone 2: 40 MPH between 200 feet south of Main street and Vail Street (approximate mileposts 8.78 to 8.88); thence
(C) Zone 3: 35 MPH between Vail Street and Bridge Street (approximate mileposts 8.88 to 9.13); thence
(D) Zone 4: 40 MPH between Bridge Street and 100 feet north of Hope Road (County Route 521) (approximate mileposts 9.13 to 9.42); thence
(E) Zone 5: 45 MPH between 100 feet north of Hope Road (County Route 521) and the Blairstown Township - Frelinghuysen Township corporate line (approximate mileposts 9.42 to 10.29); thence
iii. In the Township of Frelinghuysen:
(1) For both directions of traffic:
(A) Zone 1: 45 MPH between the Frelinghuysen Township - Blairstown Township corporate line and Silver Lake Road, except for 35 MPH when passing through the Ridge and Valley Charter School zone, during recess when the presence of children is clearly visible from the roadway or while children are going to or leaving school during opening or closing hours (approximate mileposts 10.29 to 11.87); thence
(B) Zone 2: 35 MPH between Silver Lake Road and 600 feet north of Spring Valley Road (approximate mileposts 11.87 to 12.31); thence
(C) Zone 3: 45 MPH between 600 feet north of Spring Valley Road and the Frelinghuysen Township - Fredon Township corporate line except for 35 MPH when passing through the Frelinghuysen Township School zone, during recess when the presence of children is clearly visible from the roadway or while children are going to or leaving school during opening or closing hours (approximate mileposts 12.31 to 15.05); thence
2. In Sussex County:
NOTE: State Highway Route NJ 94 is coincident with State Highway Route US 206 from approximate mileposts 22.47 to 24.91.
NOTE: State Highway Route NJ 94 is coincident with State Highway Route NJ 15 from approximate mileposts 27.70 to 28.00. 
i. In the Township of Fredon:
(1) For both directions of traffic:
(A) Zone 1: 50 MPH between the Frelinghuysen Township - Fredon Township corporate line and a point 1,480 feet south of Fredon-Stillwater Road (County Route 610) (approximate milepost 15.05 and 18.45); thence
(B) Zone 2: 45 MPH between a point 1,480 feet south of Fredon-Stillwater Road (County Route 610) and the Fredon Township - Town of Newton corporate line, except for 35 MPH when passing through the Fredon Township School zone, during recess when the presence of children is clearly visible from the roadway or while children are going to or leaving school, during opening or closing hours (approximate milepost 18.45 to 21.36); thence
ii. In the Town of Newton:
(1) For both directions of traffic:
(A) Zone 1: 40 MPH between the Fredon Township - Town of Newton corporate line and Summit Avenue (approximate mileposts 21.36 to 21.99); thence
(B) Zone 2: 30 MPH between Summit Avenue and Liberty Street (approximate mileposts 21.99 to 22.25); thence
(C) Zone 3: 25 MPH between Liberty Street and High Street-Park Place (Route US 206) (approximate mileposts 22.25 to 22.47); thence
NOTE: Route NJ 94 is coincident with Route US 206 (approximate mileposts 109.18 to 111.53) from approximate mileposts 22.47 to 24.91.  See Route US 206 for speed limits in this section; thence
iii. In the Township of Hampton:
(1) For both directions of traffic:
(A) Zone 1: 45 MPH between Route US 206 and the Hampton Township - Lafayette Township corporate line (approximate mileposts 24.91 to 25.64); thence
iv. In the Township of Lafayette:
(1) For both directions of traffic:
(A) Zone 1: 45 MPH between the Hampton Township - Lafayette Township corporate line the southerly intersection of Route NJ 15 (approximate mileposts 25.64 to 27.70); thence
NOTE: Route NJ 94 is coincident with Route NJ 15 (approximate mileposts 16.61 to 16.81) from approximate mileposts 27.70 to 28.00.  See Route NJ 15 for speed limits in this section; thence
(B) Zone 2: 45 MPH between the northerly intersection of Route NJ 15 and the Lafayette Township – Sparta Township corporate line (approximate mileposts 28.0 to 28.79); thence
v. In the Township of Sparta:
(1) For both directions of traffic:
(A) Zone 1: 45 MPH between the Lafayette Township - Sparta Township corporate line and 1,130 feet south of Old Prospect School Road, except for 35 MPH when passing through the Sussex County Vocational School zone, during recess when the presence of children is clearly visible from the roadway or while children are going to or leaving school, during opening or closing hours (approximate mileposts 28.79 to 31.03); thence
(B) Zone 2: 40 MPH between 1,130 feet south of Old Prospect School Road and the Sparta Township - Hardyston Township corporate line (approximate mileposts 31.03 to 31.28); thence
vi. In the Township of Hardyston:
(1) For both directions of traffic:
(A) Zone 1: 40 MPH between the Sparta Township -  Hardyston Township corporate line and 700 feet north of Old Prospect School Road (approximate mileposts 31.28 to 31.37); thence
(B) Zone 2: 45 MPH between 700 feet north of Old Prospect School Road and the Hardyston Township - Hamburg Borough southerly corporate line (approximate mileposts 31.37 to 35.31); thence
(C) Zone 3: 45 MPH between the Hamburg Borough - Hardyston Township northerly corporate line and 2,600 feet south of Old Coach Road (approximate mileposts 36.14 to 36.99); thence
(D) Zone 4: 35 MPH between 2,600 feet south of Old Coach Road and the Vernon Township - Hardyston Township corporate line (approximate mileposts 36.99 to 37.34); thence
vii. In the Borough of Hamburg:
(1) For both directions of traffic:
(A) Zone 1: 35 MPH between the Hamburg Borough-Hardyston Township southerly corporate line and the Hamburg Borough-Hardyston Township northerly corporate line, except for 25 MPH when passing through the Hamburg Public School zone, during recess when the presence of children is clearly visible from the roadway or while children are going to or leaving school, during opening or closing hours (approximate mileposts 35.31 to 36.14); thence
viii. In the Township of Vernon:
(1) For both directions of traffic:
(A) Zone 1: 35 MPH between Hardyston Township-Vernon Township corporate line and 1,000 feet north of Rudetown Road (County Route 517) (approximate mileposts 37.34 to 38.81); thence
(B) Zone 2: 40 MPH between 1,000 feet north of Rudetown Road (County Route 517) and 400 feet south of Sandhill Road (approximate mileposts 38.81 to 40.10); thence
(C) Zone 3: 35 MPH between 400 feet south of Sandhill Road and 600 feet north of Vernon Crossing Road (County Route 644) (approximate mileposts 40.10 to 42.02); thence
(D) Zone 4: 45 MPH between 600 feet north of Vernon Crossing Road (County Route 644) and the New York State-State of New Jersey jurisdictional line (approximate mileposts 42.02 to 45.94).
