| Certain parts of the roadway known as North & South Service Roads (vicinity of Routes NJ 3), located in the Borough of Rutherford in Bergen County, are under New Jersey Department of Transportation jurisdiction. Traffic on these sections of the roadway is hereby controlled by the following regulations: |
| i. |
North Service Road |
| (a) |
The rates of speed designated for the certain parts of North Service Road described in this subsection are hereby established and adopted as the maximum legal rate of speed: |
| (1) |
For both directions of traffic: |
|
(A) Zone 1: 35 MPH between the centerline of the Route NJ 3 overpass to the New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority’s jurisdictional line (Road C as indicated on jurisdictional map, dated August 1976). |
| (b) |
The certain parts of North Service Road described in this subsection are hereby designated and established as “No Stopping or Standing” zones, where stopping or standing is prohibited at all times: |
| (1) |
No stopping or standing along both sides: |
|
(A) For the entire length, which is under the jurisdiction of the Commissioner of Transportation; except in areas covered by other approved parking restrictions. |
| (c) |
Certain parts of North Service Road described in this subsection are hereby designated and established as “no parking bus stop” zones, where the parking of any vehicle other than omnibus, picking up or discharging passengers, is prohibited at all times: |
| (1) |
Along westbound North Service Road, on the northerly side at: |
|
(A) Orient Way – (near side) (NJ Transit ID# 13494) – Beginning at easterly curb line of Orient Way and extending 105 feet easterly therefrom. |
| ii. |
South Service Road |
| (a) |
The rates of speed designated for the certain parts of South Service Road described in this subsection are hereby established and adopted as the maximum legal rate of speed: |
| (1) |
For both directions of traffic: |
|
(A) Zone 1: 40 MPH between the centerline of the Route NJ 3 overpass to a point 1450 feet east therefrom. |
| (2) |
For eastbound one-way traffic only: |
|
(A) Zone 1: 40 MPH between a point 1450 feet east of the centerline of the Route NJ 3 overpass and its terminus. (1740 feet east of the centerline of the NJ Turnpike at Route NJ 3 west overpass. |
| (b) |
The certain parts of South Service Road described in this subsection are hereby designated and established as “No Stopping or Standing” zones, where stopping or standing is prohibited at all times: |
| (1) |
No stopping or standing along both sides: |
|
(A) For the entire length, which is under the jurisdiction of the Commissioner of Transportation; except in areas covered by other approved parking restrictions. |
| iii. |
The certain parts of North & South Service Roads described in this subsection are hereby designated and established as No Passing Zones: |
| (1) |
For both directions of traffic: |
|
(A) For the entire length within the corporate limits of East Rutherford Borough from the Route NJ 3 overpass to Orient Way, for an approximate length of 4,150 feet. |
