Health Benefits Information - Retirees

State Health Benefits Program

Eligibility for Retired Group SHBP coverage is available to qualified retirees from the State including State colleges and universities, and Participating Local Government Employers, as determined by the State Health Benefits Program (SHBP).

School Employees' Health Benefits Program

Eligibility for Retired Group SEHBP coverage is available to qualified retirees of local education employers, as determined by the School Employees’ Health Benefits Program (SEHBP).

Direct Primary Care Managed Health

Pre-65-year-old members (not eligible for Medicare) are eligible for DPCMH. See a DPCMH provider for enhanced primary care management and $0 co-pay.

Billing

Please visit for all of your health benefit billing needs.

 

Dependents

Eligible dependents include a spouse, civil union partner, or same-sex domestic partner and/or your eligible children.

COBRA

Employees or their dependents covered by the SHBP or SEHBP who lose coverage may be able to continue health benefits coverage under COBRA.
