New Jersey Income Tax – When to File and Pay

New Jersey Income Tax returns are due when your federal return is due. For calendar year filers, the 2020 New Jersey returns are due by April 15, 2021. Fiscal year filers must file their returns by the 15th day of the fourth month following the close of the fiscal year. If a due date falls on a Saturday, Sunday, or legal holiday, that return is due on the following business day.

An extension of time is granted only to file your New Jersey Income Tax return. There is no extension of time to pay tax due.
