Radioactive Material Program
On September 30, 2009, New Jersey became the 37th Agreement State with the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission. On this date, the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection assumed regulatory authority for all byproduct, source and special nuclear material not sufficient to form critical mass.
