Advisory Committee on Nuclear Medicine

1. Establishment
   
   Established by the Commission of Radiation Protection in 1979.


2. Responsibilities
   
   
   1. To advise the Commission on issues dealing with nuclear medicine technology
   2. To review and recommend to the Commission educational standards and policies for nuclear medicine technology educational programs.
   3. To review and recommend to the Commission licensure standards.
   4. To review and recommend to the Commission accreditation to those nuclear medicine technology programs that meet or exceed the educational standards and policies.
   5. To review and recommend to the Commission a practice of nuclear medicine technology.
   6. To review credentials of individuals who have applied for either a nuclear medicine technology license or examination, but have received their education from another state or country.

   *All appointments with the exception of the DEP's representative are made by the Chairperson of the Commission.
