As part of its work with and for NJ’s municipalities, NJBAC also focuses on helping to elevate business prosperity in communities and mixed-use commercial districts in NJ. These Business Enhancement Services include projects for which we:

A NJBAC Business Enhancement (BE) Special Assessment includes:
- Targeted district management guidance and implementation planning to municipalities and non-profits.
- On-site live assessment walk-through or online assessment walk-through
The BE Special Assessment Report is typically short, visual, and actionable, focused on mostly tactical projects along with some policy recommendations as warranted, and provides best practices, programs, technical assistance or funding opportunities and ordinances to save the client time and money as they seek to move to action. It may include a Business Enhancement Punch List, which utilizes renderings to visualize the kinds of change that are possible for buildings, streetscapes and the public realm in each district.
A BE Special Assessment Report may also include market data considerations, traffic data and breakdowns and other relevant sources of data to provide background on the district’s potential capacity and challenges.
