Property Tax Reimbursement (Senior Freeze) Program

Filing deadline for 2013 Senior Freeze (PTR) Applications extended to September 15, 2014. (View Treasurer’s Press Release)

This program reimburses eligible senior citizens and disabled persons for property tax or mobile home park site fee increases on their principal residence. To qualify you must meet all the eligibility requirements for each year from the base year through the year for which you are applying.

Note: If your income for 2013 did not exceed $70,000, you are eligible for a 2013 reimbursement provided you met all the other program requirements. If your income was more than $70,000 but was $84,289 or less, you will not receive a check for 2013. The Division will notify you that you are not eligible. However, by filing an application by the due date, you can establish a “base year” for future reimbursements for which you may be eligible and ensure you will be mailed an application for 2014.
