Promote Agriculture License Plate

New Jersey motor vehicle owners may purchase "Promote Agriculture" license plates for any motor vehicle owned or leased and registered in the state.  Those vehicles include:  passenger, commercial, farm use and farm vehicles.

The special license plate to call attention to the Garden State's vibrant agriculture industry was the result of New Jersey Farm Bureau and a bill sponsored by Senators Robert Singer and Martha Bark and Assemblymen Christopher "Kip" Bateman and Peter Biondi, which was signed into law on January 29, 2001.

The design for the plate was chosen by the agricultural community.  There is a one-time $20 fee for the plate.  For personalized plates, the cost is $70.
