It includes national observances, state and local resources, conference and workshop notices, news and the latest research of aging issues. The NJ Hospital EARC process is utilized for individuals admitted to an acute care hospital or LTAC hospital setting, seeking NF discharge and who meet identified target population with an expectation of billing NJ Medicaid for all or part of their stay. Hospital discharge planners seeking to conduct the EARC process must obtain an EARC Certification.

The following forms are utilized for Hospital/Screener access to the EARC Portal:

  • EARC Portal Registration and Support Issues:  Hospital EARC Screeners requiring EARC Portal access or are in need of Portal support must outreach EARCRegistration@dhs.nj.gov.
  • EARC Process and Navigation Issues:  Outreach to the respective is requested to address any EARC process or navigation needs:
    • Northern Regional Office of Community Choice Options (NRO OCCO): Counties: Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Hunterdon, Middlesex, Morris, Passaic, Somerset, Sussex, Union and Warren. Phone: (732) 777-4650

Senior Services News - January 2024

NJSave Materials - On June 30, 2023, Governor Murphy signed into law P.L. 2023, c. 79, which expanded the enrollment eligibility income limits for both the Pharmaceutical Assistance to the Aged and Disabled (PAAD) and Senior Gold Prescription Discount propgrams by $10,000, effective January 2024.  In addition, this law requires retail pharmacies to display signage/promotional materials at the point of sale to raise awareness of these generous benefits availbale to older adults and individuals with disabilities.  The following are links to these materials and to a materials order form.
