General Election Information

May 12 Elections

Changes to upcoming Elections and Election procedures due to Coronavirus, as outlined by Governor Murphy’s executive order.

The following elections have been postponed and will occur on May 12, 2020. These elections will be conducted exclusively using Vote by Mail.

Election Certifications

Certification by Secretary of State
The Secretary of State shall certify the names of the persons indorsed in the petitions filed in his office to the clerks of counties. In the case of candidates for offices other than federal office, the Secretary of State shall also transmit this information to the Election Law Enforcement Commission in the form and manner prescribed by the commission and shall notify the commission immediately upon the withdrawal of a petition of nomination. N.J.S.A. 19:23-21
Primary Election Certifications

Certification of Primary Election Nominees

Please be advised that Executive Order 120 has moved the Primary Election from June 2, 2020 to July 7, 2020. Although the date of the election has been moved, the Primary Election date on the list of candidates will still reflect the original June 2, 2020 Primary Election date.
