Vet the Vote

In April 2022, Vet the Vote was launched to raise awareness about the challenge and need for poll workers across the country. Veterans and military family members have stepped up to meet that challenge based on a belief that their community would step up to serve again when asked. The campaign has been an overwhelming success, recruiting over 63,000 volunteers for the 2022 midterm elections and beyond. In New Jersey alone, 930 signed up to be poll workers.

Their mission is not done yet –they continue to spread the word nationally about Vet the Vote to increase confidence in our elections, establishing a community around volunteers, and gear up to support elections in 2023 and 2024.

The New Jersey Department of State’s Jersey Civic Engage initiative is proud to support this great project to strengthen our democracy.

Vet the Vote is a project of We the Veterans Foundation. We the Veterans and Military Families aims to engage and empower the 17 million+ veterans and their family members living in the United States to help build a more perfect Union.
