Various Regulations for Local Roads under State Jurisdiction

Smith Road (vicinity of Routes I-80, I-287 & US 46)
Certain parts of the roadway known as Smith Road (vicinity of Routes I-80, I-287, & US 46), located in the Township of Parsippany-Troy Hills in Morris County, are under New Jersey Department of Transportation jurisdiction.  Traffic on these sections of the roadway is hereby controlled by the following regulations:
(a) The rate of speed designated for the certain parts of Smith Road described in this subsection are hereby established and adopted as the maximum legal rate of speed:
(1) For both directions of traffic:
(A) Zone 1: 40 MPH between the Morris County – New Jersey Department of Transportation jurisdictional line and Route US 46.
(b) The certain parts of Smith Road described in this subsection are hereby designated and established as "no passing" zones:
(1) No Passing Zones:
(A) For the entire length within the corporate limits of Parsippany-Troy Hills Township between the New Jersey Department of Transportation jurisdiction line and Route US 46 for an approximate distance of 1,600 feet.
