Restricted Parking and Stopping


Route NJ 23

(a)

The certain parts of State Highway Route NJ 23 described in this subsection are designated and established as "no stopping or standing" zones where stopping or standing is prohibited at all times, except in areas covered by other parking restrictions adopted in accordance with the Administrative Procedure Act, NJSA 52:14B-1 et seq., and NJAC 1:30. In accordance with the NJSA 39:4-198, proper signs shall be erected to notify the motoring public.

1.

In Essex County:

i.  In the Township of Verona:

(1)

No stopping or standing along the northbound (easterly) side:

(A) From the northerly curb line of Nassau Road to the northerly curb line of Woodland Avenue.

(2)

No stopping or standing along the southbound (westerly) side:

(A) From the southerly curb line of Woodland Avenue to a point 300 feet south of the southerly curb line of Linden Avenue.

ii.  In the Township of Cedar Grove:

(1)

No stopping or standing along the northbound (easterly) side:

(A) From the Verona Township – Cedar Grove Township corporate line, to the center line of East Bradford Avenue.

(B) From a point 230 feet north of the center line of Cedar Street, to the center line of Bowden Road.

(C) From the center line of Peckmantown Road to the Little Falls Township – Cedar Grove Township corporate line.

(2)

No stopping or standing along the southbound (westerly) side:

(A) From the Little Falls Township – Cedar Grove Township corporate line, to the center line of Brunswick Road.

(B) From a point 650 feet south of the center line of Grove Avenue, to a point 850 feet south of the center line of Grove Avenue.

(C) From the center line of Church Street, to a point 300 feet south of the center line of Church Street.

(D) From the center line of West Bradford Avenue to a point 100 feet south of the center line of West Bradford Avenue.

(E) From the center line of Sweetwood Drive to the Verona Township – Cedar Grove Township corporate line.

2.

In Passaic County:

Note: State Highway Route NJ 23 is coincident with State Highway Route US 202 from approximate mileposts 6.82 to 8.94.

i. In the Township of Wayne:

(1)

No stopping or standing along both sides:

(A) For the entire length within the corporate limits, including all ramps and connections thereto, which are under the jurisdiction of the Commissioner of Transportation; except in areas covered by other approved parking restrictions.

In Morris County:

i. In the Township of Pequannock:

(1)

No stopping or standing along both sides:

(A) For the entire length within the corporate limits, including all ramps and connections thereto, which are under the jurisdiction of the Commissioner of Transportation; except in areas covered by other approved parking restrictions.

ii. In the Borough of Kinnelon:

(1)

No stopping or standing along both sides:

(A) For the entire length within the corporate limits, including all ramps and connections thereto, which are under the jurisdiction of the Commissioner of Transportation; except in areas covered by other approved parking restrictions.

iii. In the Township of Jefferson:

(1)

No stopping or standing along both sides:

(A) For the entire length within the corporate limits, including all ramps and connections thereto, which under the jurisdiction of the Commissioner of Transportation; except in areas covered by other approved parking restrictions.

4.

In Sussex County:

i.  In the Township of Hardyston:

(1)

No stopping or standing along both sides:

(A) For the entire length within the corporate limits, including all ramps and connections thereto, which under the jurisdiction of the Commissioner of Transportation; except in areas covered by other approved parking restrictions.

ii.  In the Borough of Franklin:

(1)

No stopping or standing along both sides:

(A) For the entire length within the corporate limits, including all ramps and connections thereto, which under the jurisdiction of the Commissioner of Transportation; except in areas covered by other approved parking restrictions.

iii. In the Borough of Hamburg:

(1)

No stopping or standing along both sides:

(A) For the entire length within the corporate limits, including all ramps and connections thereto, which under the jurisdiction of the Commissioner of Transportation; except in areas covered by other approved parking restrictions.

iv. In the Township of Wantage:

(1)

No stopping or standing along both sides:

(A) From the Hardyston Township - Wantage Township corporate line to the Borough of Sussex - Wantage Township corporate line.

v.  In the Borough of Sussex:

(1)

No stopping or standing along both sides:

(A) For the entire length within the corporate limits, including all ramps and connections thereto, which under the jurisdiction of the Commissioner of Transportation; except in areas covered by other approved parking restrictions.

(b)

The certain parts of State Highway Route NJ 23 described in this subsection shall be designated and established as "no parking" zones where parking is prohibited at all times. In accordance with the provisions of NJSA 39:4-199, permission is granted to erect appropriate signs at the following established bus stops:

In Essex County:

i.  In the Township of Verona:

(1)

Far side bus stops along the northbound (easterly) side:

(A) Nassau Road (105 feet)

(2)

Near side bus stops along the southbound (westerly) side:

(A) Martin Road (120 feet)

ii.  In the Township of Cedar Grove:

(1)

Near side bus stops along the northbound (easterly) side:

(A) Eaton Place (105 feet)

(B) Scheiber Terrace (105 feet)

(C) Sweetwood Drive (105 feet)

(D) Grissing Court (105 feet)

(E) Union Street (105 feet)

(F) Cedar Street (105 feet)

(G) Peckmantown Road (105 feet)

(H) Little Falls Road (105 feet)

(I) Brunswick Road (105 feet)

(J) Bortic Road (105 feet)

(K) Beech Street (105 feet)

(L) Stevens Avenue (105 feet)

(M) North Bradford Avenue (105 feet)

(2)

Far side bus stops along the northbound (easterly) side:

(A) Harper Terrace (90 feet)

(B) Ridge Road (90 feet)

(C) Ozone Avenue (90 feet)

(D) East Bradford Avenue (90 feet)

(E) Bowden Road (90 feet)

(B) From a point 1,850 feet south of the center line of West Lindsley Road, to a point 1,950 feet south of the center line of West Lindsley Road.

(C) From a point 290 feet south of the center line of Vreeland Lane, to a point 400 feet south of the center line of Vreeland Lane.

(D) From a point 60 feet south of the center line of Sweetwood Drive, to a point 160 feet south of the center line of Sweetwood Drive.

In Passaic County:

i.  In the Township of Little Falls:

(1)

Near side bus stops along the northbound (easterly) side:

(A) Main Street - Beginning at the southerly curb line of Main Street and extending 105 feet southerly therefrom.

(2)

Far side bus stops along the northbound (easterly) side:

(A) Third Street - Beginning at the northerly curb line of Third Street and extending 100 feet northerly therefrom.

(3)

Near side bus stops along the southbound (westerly) side:

(A) Main Street - Beginning at the northerly curb line of Main Street and extending 100 feet northerly therefrom.

(B) Gray Street - Beginning at the northerly curb line of Gray Street and extending 105 feet northerly therefrom.

(C) Weaver Street - Beginning at the northerly curb line of Weaver Street and extending 105 feet northerly therefrom.

ii. In the Township of Wayne:

(1)

Near side bus stops along the northbound (easterly) side:

(A) Fairfield Road - Beginning at the prolongation of the southerly curb line of Fairfield Road and extending 105 feet southerly therefrom.

(B) Black Oak Ridge Road - Beginning at the prolongation of the southerly curb line of Black Oak Ridge Road and extending 105 feet southerly therefrom.

(2)

Far side bus stops along the northbound (easterly) side:

(A) Laguna Drive – Beginning at the northerly curb line of Laguna Drive and extending 100 feet northerly therefrom.

(B) Packanack Lake Road – Beginning at the northerly curb line of Packanack Lake Road and extending 100 feet northerly therefrom.

(3)

Mid–Block bus stops along the southbound (westerly) side:

(A) Between Cedar Lane and Black Oak Ridge Road - Beginning 728 feet north of the northerly curb line of Cedar Lane and extending 135 feet northerly therefrom.

(4)

Near side bus stops along the southbound (westerly) side:

(A) Packanack Lake Road - Beginning at the northerly curb line of Packanack Lake Road and extending 105 feet northerly therefrom.

(B) Alps Road – Beginning at the prolongation of the northerly curb line of Alps Road and extending 105 feet northerly therefrom.

Mid-Block bus stops along the southbound (westerly) side:

(A) Between Fairfield Road and Burgess Place – Beginning 177 feet south of the southerly curb line of Fairfield Road and extending 135 feet southerly therefrom.

3.

In Morris County:

i.  In the Borough of Riverdale:

(1)

Mid-block bus stops along the northbound (easterly) side:

(A) Beginning at a point 257 feet north of the projection of the northerly curb line of Macopin Avenue and extending 120 feet northerly therefrom.

(2)

Far side bus stops along the southbound (westerly) side:

(A) Macopin Avenue (90 feet)

(3)

Mid-Block bus stop along the southbound (westerly) side:

(A) Beginning at a point 71 feet south of the center line of Windbeam Road and extending 130 feet southerly therefrom.

ii. In the Borough of Butler:

(1)

Mid-block bus stops along the southbound (westerly) side:

(A) Kinnelon Road and Cross Street - Beginning 265 feet south of the southerly curb line of Kinnelon Road and extending 135 feet southerly therefrom

(c)

The certain parts of State Highway Route NJ 23 described in this subsection are designated and established as "parking during certain hours" zones. In accordance with the provisions of NJSA 39:4-199, permission is granted to erect appropriate signs at the following and parking during certain hours zones:

1.

In Essex County:

i.  In the Township of Cedar Grove:

(1)

No stopping or standing along the northbound (easterly) side between 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM Monday through Friday:

(A) From a point 105 feet north of the center line of East Bradford Avenue to a point 230 feet north of the center line of Cedar Street.

(B) From a point 105 feet north of the center line of Bowden Road to a point 120 feet south of the center line of Peckmantown Road.

(2)

No stopping or standing along the southbound (westerly) side between 7:00 PM and 9:00 PM Monday through Friday:

(A) From the center line of Brunswick Road to a point 650 feet south of the center line of Grove Avenue.

(B) From a point 850 feet south of the center line of Grove Avenue to a point 120 feet north of the center line of Church Street.

(C) From a point 300 feet south of the center line of Church Street to a point 120 feet north of the center line of West Bradford Avenue.

(D) From a point 100 feet south of the center line of West Bradford Avenue to the center line of Sweetwood Drive.
