Route 9 in Berkeley Township closed and detoured overnight in Ocean County
Detour required for watermain installation
(Trenton) - New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) officials today announced that the overnight closure and detour of Route 9/Atlantic City Boulevard in both directions for the Aqua Water Company watermain installation in Berkeley Township, Ocean County.
J. F. Keily Company, Inc. is scheduled to close and detour Route 9/Atlantic City Boulevard in both directions at the intersection of Hickory Lane, beginning at 9 p.m. tonight, Monday, April 15 until 6 a.m. the next day.
Detour Route 9 Southbound:
Motorists wishing to travel Route 9 southbound/ Atlantic City Boulevard will be directed to make a left onto Sloop Creek Road
- Right onto Bayview Avenue
- Right onto Bay Boulevard
- Left back onto Route 9
Detour Route 9 Northbound:
Motorists wishing to travel Route 9 northbound/Atlantic City Boulevard will be directed to make a right onto Right onto Bay Boulevard
- Left onto Bayview Avenue
- Left onto Sloop Creek Road
- Right back onto Route 9
Construction signs are being utilized throughout the project limits to provide advance notification to motorists of all traffic pattern changes associated with the watermain installation.
